Working at Heights Safely – Online  

Course Content

The course focuses on:

• legislation.
• standards and codes of practice.
• hazard factors and controls.
• identification of access systems.
• safety nets.
• safety harness applications.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, students will be able to:

• explain the legislative requirements associated with working at heights,
  and the systems suitable for working at heights

Course structure

US17600 is delivered online and includes topics that you work through at your own pace before you undertake the formal assessment.

After you contact Wood Training or book the course, we will send you a confirmation email with a link to the course and a self-enrolment key.  You will be prompted in the system to set up a profile with information that we need for your enrolment.

You will need to have:

• Access to a computer and stable internet (see page 2 for specifications).
• An email address.

Assessment process

Theory assessment which takes place when the student is ready. This includes completion of a short online quiz and a written assessment.

Revalidation/Refresher

To maintain current competency, it is recommended that refresher training occurs regularly.  Depending on the industry you work in this may vary.  Current Wood Training recommendation is every two years.
