This course enables students to refresh knowledge of the safe operation of a forklift and the legal obligations pertaining to that plant in a place of work. Skills are refreshed in the completion of pre-operational checks prior to operations, parking and shutting down a forklift.
At the end of this course, students will be able to:
A combination of theoretical and practical training and assessment.
Hold a current Forklift Operators Certificate.
Theory assessment followed by practical assessment which takes place when student is ready/has shown that they can perform all tasks required. Assessment involves operating a Forklift without a load and stacking and de-staking a load.
Certification refresher every three years as per the Approved Code of Practice for Training Operators and Instructors of Powered Industrial Lift Tucks (Forklifts), and Competenz ITO requirements. Students must have attended their previous forklift certificate through Wood to attend a revalidation course. If you have done training with another company we will ask you to provide us with your operator certification or you will be required to attend the full WorkSafe NZ Certification course again.
Theory - 3.5 hours plus practical assessment.
